Can i sync music to a casio brigade using my computer and NOT buying songs i already own from verizon?

i just want to download cd's to my phone and not be ripped off 1.99 a song. i've purchased my music already why should verizon make me pay not only for my music twice but their copies are double the price of anywhere else.
