LiveJournal won't let me view Mature Content even though I'm over 18.?

My LiveJournal account setting say I'm over 18, but if I try to view anything that has a Mature Content label on it, it says I'm not over 18 and I can't view it. Is this a glitch, or is there some reason why this happens?
