How do I add a ringtone to my phone without texting?

I have a Casio Exilim and my wife have a Samsung Intensity II. We would like to add ringtones to our phones but have our text messaging blocked because we don't want to pay for spam texts. Is there a way to add ringtones to phones without texting them to yourself? Both phones are for Verizon. Thanks.
