Printing a scanned colored paper?

So I scanned a paper that is yellow and all I need is the text on that paper. When I try to print it on my laser printer, it prints the entire yellow as if it's a background, giving me this big gray square and my text on top of it. My question is, is there anyway I can print the page with the text only and without the yellow background? If it helps, I'm using an Epson NX515 to scan it and then printing it on a Samsung ML-1665.
